motivation

Fog is a very local weather phenomenon, and its characteristics vary widely depending on the terrain and weather conditions of the area where it occurs. it has a great impact on human life by playing a role in adding air pollution, such as hindering traffic and various industrial activities by blocking visibility and solar radiation, as well as affecting the growth of crops. Therefore, it is important to accurately identify the characteristics of fog in various aspects, including predicting and forecasting fog outbreaks, increasing crop productivity, and selecting construction sites such as airports and dams.

our goal

in this research, we want to identify fog characteristics through analysis of fog observation data in fog-prone area. We set the fog-prone area as areas where fog occurred more than 30 days a year in 2014.
