Regional topography and climate

Mokpo

mokpo is located in the southwestern part of

the Korean Peninsula, which generally represents

a marine climate in the summer and a continental

climate in the winter.

The annual average precipitation is 1,163.6 mm

and the annual average temperature is 13.9 ℃.

The average wind speed per year is 3.9 m/s, relatively strong. There are southwest winds in summer and northwest winds in winter, and gusts and Showery

snow are often falling during the cold continental

high pressure expansion in winter.

gUNSAN

Gunsan is bordered by Seocheon-gun, Chungcheong

nam-do, bordering Iksan to the east, Gimje to the west,

and Geumgang to the north.

The average annual rainfall is 1202 mm and the average annual temperature is 12.8 ℃. The average annual wind speed is 3.8m/s, with relatively strong northwest winds blowing from February to April. During winter cold continental high pressure expansion, gusts of wind

and Showery snow often fall, leading to heavy snow.

In particular, it is bordered by the West Sea, showing oceanic climate characteristics.
